Every coach and league official should go through the Partners With Kids program and use the guidelines so that they and the game officials can have clear, accurate communication. This will make for a better game for the kids. The kids will also profit by the coaches teaching them values and personal responsibility.
Grant Barnes, Certified Official, High School Federation
I was appalled when I saw a little boy, probably 9 yrs. old, at a pizza shop in his athletic gear and a t-shirt that said, "Give Blood -- Play Hockey." What are we teaching our kids? Is it O.K. for our boys to be hurt and bleeding when they should be having fun? Are we teaching them to be "tough" at all costs? For Goodness sake, they are little boys! We must act on what Dr. Pierro tells us.
Bobbie Bullard, Grandmother/Sports Spectator
Dr. Pierro hit the nail right on the head. All sports programs would go a lot better for the kids if we adults would follow his advice. Coaches and parents need to take a look at what they are doing and make some real changes. The Partners With Kids program gives us the kinds of direction that we need in order to do that.
Thomas Smith, Park Director
This program is a must for every coach. Even those parents and coaches with great intentions can get caught in the competitiveness of the game and lose sight of the real goal. This program will help them keep focused and give them practical ways to keep the game fun and teach the value of being a "team player."
Charles Jackson, USSSA Umpire, Youth Football Coach
The Partners With Kids program offers administrators valuable insights into the difficult balancing act of coaches, parents, and children. Would that his awareness of what is developmentally appropriate regarding children and sports was shared by all!
Sherri Rowan, Principal; Private School – Preschool through Junior High School

It is no exaggeration to say that a coach can have a life-long effect (either positive or negative) on a child's life. What a blessing it would be if all coaches and parents would not only complete the Partners With Kids program but put into practice all of Dr. Pierro's sound advice! The benefits for our children would be beyond measure.
Hannah Lu Watson, Mother of 4 Players.

Thank you for allowing me to review the Partners With Kids program. It was so refreshing to see a program the puts the focus where it belongs, kids and fun. How nice it is to see words such as respect, sportsmanship, and responsibility associated with youth sports. I believe this program should be required for all youth sports organizations.
David Morgan, Sports Parent
